Ah summer, the time of year that we live for, no work, no boss, nothing to do? YOU WISH!!

We all know that in today’s world nothing stops and nothing slows down – if anything, we all work harder to get ahead of the competition!

So here are our top ten Summer strategy tips to help your business get ahead of the game:

  1. Revisit your campaign activity – look at what worked and what didn’t.
  2. Reconnect with prospects – if the sales team have been too busy with clients take the time to really connect with your inbound prospect list.
  3. Clear out your CRM – how many expensive leads are sat, untouched in your CRM? Run a rapid re-qualification campaign and really sort the good from the bad and ugly!
  4. Get your Data in shape – summer can be a great time to cleanse and refresh tired data, your September campaigns will thank you for it!
  5. Listen to customers – ok so you should be looking at this all year round but take the time across the summer to get a real “temperature check”. Voice of Customer and Insight studies are a great way of developing both existing strategies and building new content.
  6. Talk to lapsed customers – are your top 10 or top 100 customers the same today as they were last year? Lost customers present a great opportunity for short term revenue wins.
  7. Explore new markets – if you’ve sat through the first half of 2013 itching to test a product in a new market then use the “breather” to run a strategic pilot.
